Setting the incoming queues

eMill lets you collect and process responses to your mailings or any other kind of email inputs. For this, you need to follow 2 steps:

- Setting the incoming queues: In order to receive messages you must create an incoming queue which will be associated with either a POP3 account or a path where received mails are stored in MIME format.
Example:  If you send your mails with an address like sales@yourdomain.com then you need to configure the POP3 details for the sales@yourdomain.com account.

- Associate your published mailing project with an incoming queue: Once your project is published, you need to associate it with one or more incoming queue.

- Incoming message Processing: You will then need to decide what actions to perform on your received mails (update a database, move it to a specific folder, delete it, manage subscriptions/unsubscriptions, etc.).

The list window displays all current incoming message queues with their status and settings.

POP3 or Path methods: If you are using an external mail server to host your email replies mailboxes, use the POP3 connection, providing the same settings you would use to download messages from your email client. If the mail server is on the same machine as the eMill Server machine, it is much more efficient to directly provide the path to the email files. See your network administrator to see if your mail server offers a way to access email files directly.
Local DSN : This incoming queue aims at receiving notifications when you use the built-in SMTP server and when eMill aborts the sending of a message. To create these notifications, you must also check the 'Create local delivery notification' option in the Mailer DSN properties.
