Headers Properties

Anti-spam filters may compromise delivery of your messages if the following informations are incorrect or missing. The MAIL FROM address must be considered compulsory.

From the Project/Properties menu, click on the Header tab:

Enter the SMTP Sender address: the sender's email address (or see footnote).
Enter the From address: the sender's email address (similar to above, or see footnote).
Enter the Reply-To address: the email address to which replies are delivered (if different than the From field).
Enter your Organization or name as it will appear in the header.
Enter the email Subject (see below for subject personalization).
Select a Priority level: optional, managed by most email clients.
Click OK or on another option tab for more mailing settings.

Headers personalization: In order to personalize headers using information from the data source, right click in the text area, go to Insert field and select the field you want to use to personalize the header. You will notice that the fields list is composed of fields from your data source as well as special fields. For more information on these special fields, go to content personalization.

'SMTP Sender' and 'From': eMill differentiates the 'SMTP Sender' (the MAIL FROM presented to the receiving server) from the 'From' address which is displayed in the message header. This distinction could be useful to bypass restriction rules regarding emission from originating servers (e.g. not allowing certain emissions from some corporate addresses). If no such restrictions apply, it is advised to use the same address in both fields since anti-spam filters at the receiving end could prevent delivering your message.

Email address format: Use the following syntax to enter addresses:

"Name" <xyz@anything.com>

or click on the button adjacent to the text field to use the 'Email Address Formatter'.
