The Fax options let you configure all settings used by the eMill Fax module. You can also configure for each fax capable devices the incoming fax routing options.
Default Cover Page: Select here the cover page that will be used when sending faxes. Click on Edit to modify the cover page using the Microsoft Cover Page Editor. It is not compulsory to specify a default cover page because you can also create one directly in your mailing project as the message body.
If you choose to set a default cover page, the fields will be completed as follow:
1. Cover page fields regarding the sender (company name, address, fax number, etc.) will be completed using the informations indicated in the Microsoft Fax Console settings (Tools > Sender Information).
2. The following cover page fields are dynamically filled in by eMill:
- Recipient's Name: completed dynamically for each receiver if you have specified the FirstName and/or LastName field in the receivers list properties. If not, eMill will insert the receiver fax number.
- Recipient's Fax #: the receiver fax number is completed dynamically for each receiver.
- Date/Time Sent: completed dynamically.
- # of Pages: the number of sent pages is completed dynamically.
- Subject: completed with the subject indicated in the header properties or in the Mail_OnStart() script function.
- Note: In order to insert a text in this field, you need to create a text file and place it at the first place of the contents list (see content positionning). If you have a HTML content and an alternate Text content, the Note field will be completed with the Text content and the HTML content will be ignored for fax rendering.
To access an outside line using a dialable number, dial: Enter in this field any prefix that may be needed to access an outside line (PBX prefix, etc.)
Test Number: Enter here a canonical number that you wish to see in its dialable form (e.g. +1 (212) 555-1212 will result in 5551212 if you are in NYC)
Rules: This button is used to configure the Windows dialing rules settings. Refer to the Windows documentation for details.
This dialog box lets you configure Fax routing settings used when a Fax is received.
