Design Window

Click on the Design icon: The project is displayed inside the Design Window.

Click on the Queue icon: The Queues of all published projects are displayed inside the Queue Window.

Opening or creating a new project, the project Design Window is displayed: eMill uses an MDI (Multiple Document Interface) window which lets you open simultaneously several projects. The Design Window tree allows you to access easily to all project elements: message contents, mailing lists, black lists, global script, final message preview. You just have to click on a tree node on the left to display it inside the Design Window on the right part.

General View

The general view displays a project summary.

Contents Edition

Project contents are child elements of the Contents element. Select a content in the left tree to open the corresponding editor inside the Design Window on the right part.

To add a new project content, you can:

• Right-click on the Contents element and select Add a content.
• Click on the Project/Add a content menu to launch the New Content Wizard.
• Click on the Add a content button in the toolbar.

Receivers view

Receivers lists are child elements of the Receivers Lists element. All enable receivers lists will be used during messages rendering.

• To change your receivers data source, enable or disable it, remove or add a new one, use the receivers tab in project properties. 
• To add or remove columns from the database, use the menu Project -> Data Source -> Add/Remove a column or use the right-click on database titles.
• To edit a record, select it and use Record Toolbar, keyboard shortcuts, right-click and menu functions.
• To sort records, click on the column name.

Black List View

Black lists are child elements of the Black Lists element. All mailing receivers which are in one of the enable black lists will not receive any messages.

• To change a black list, enable or disable it, remove or add a new one, use the Black list tab in project properties. 
• Editing a black list record is equal to editing a receivers list record.

Final Preview

Select the Preview element to render a message according to contents, scripts and the selected record of your project. The Message view displays the message content, the headers and the attachments the way they will be represented on most mail clients. The MIME view displays an advanced representation of the message MIME hierarchy and source.

• Use the Record Toolbar to change the selected record and render a new message.
• Each message MIME part can be displayed independently by clicking on the corresponding child element under the Preview element.

Global Script Editor

Select the Global Script element to display the global script editor. The global script is rendered by the application and saved in the Milset.vbs file.
