eMill Fax

Fax mailing offers many advantages that complements emailing. You will have the possibility to choose which channel to use according to the data available, your needs and your target. Take advantage of eMill strength and flexibility to send and receive faxes and to combine efficiently fax mailing and emailing.

Sending Faxes

eMill offers you the possibility to send faxes in the following format: PDF (Adobe Acrobat), TIFF (picture format), HTML and TXT. To be able to send faxes using eMill, you need to:

1. Configure the Windows Fax Console. The sending of faxes is handled directly by your Windows operating system, therefore, you need to associate the Fax Console with at least one modem to send faxes.

2. Set eMill Fax Options.

3. Specify the priority between your communication channels (email, SMS and/or fax) for each receivers list in the receivers list properties box.

If the fax numbers included in your data source are in a format which cannot be exploited directly, you have the possibility to use the dialing transformation tool.

Receiving Faxes

To be able to receive faxes with eMill, you need to:

1. Create an incoming queue for your faxes in the Incoming Queue Properties box. When launching the eMill server, a fax incoming queue is automatically created. It allows eMill to know where incoming faxes are stored (by default C:\Program Files\Active+\eMill\Fax\Inbox). You can create a new incoming queue in the Incoming Queue Properties.

2. Specify the Fax Incoming Properties. Indeed, eMill offers you the possibility to receive faxes directly in the eMill inbox or to forward them to any email address. Moreover, you can choose the format in which your receive faxes in order to make incoming fax management easier.

3. Once the project is published, you must associate your project with a fax incoming queue. You can also set actions to take when receiving faxes.
